Tragedy unfolds in Haridevpur : Husband accused of stabbing wife to death

In a horrifying incident, Suvendu Das an auto driver by profession stabbed his wife to death. The incident took place in the Sodepur Dolly Villa area of Haridevpur Police Station. The victim is identified as Krishna Dey. It is known that Suvendu is an auto driver on the Tollygunge to Behala Chowrasta route. Police officials of Haridevpur police station are investigating the matter

According to the police officials a year ago, she registered her marriage with Suvendu Das though Krishna's family did not accept the marriage. The cops further said the incident took place at around 10.30 p.m. Suvendu allegedly had a tiff with his wife, Krishna, and stabbed her multiple times, witnesses told police. Allegedly, he was an alcoholic. Suvendu was found lying beside Krishna, frothing from his mouth and motionless, said police sources. A few days after the court marriage, a dispute started between the two, and the wife started demanding a divorce, due to which a dispute started between the two.

Immediately this came to the neighbour's attention and they informed the police. Both of them were admitted to MR Bangur Hospital and were declared dead. The reason behind this murder remains mysterious. The police authorities of Haridevpur police station are looking into the matter and trying to find out whether this was due to some personal issues or there is some other mystery behind it.
