Troubles for Mahua Moitra, the prominent TMC MP in West Bengal, are on the rise as two separate letters of complaint were filed against her on Sunday. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey addressed a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker, while advocate Anant Dehadari wrote to the CBI Director, alleging that Mahua Moitra received substantial sums from prominent businessman Darshan Hiranandani and posed questions against the Adani Group in the Lok Sabha.
The complaints demand an immediate CBI investigation into Moitra's actions, with one letter even seeking the cancellation of her membership. It is claimed in the letters that baseless statements against the Adani Group, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah were made to defame the industrialist.
A CBI official confirmed the receipt of the letter and stated that related facts are under examination, with the inclusion of various supporting documents. An investigation may commence following the verification of authenticity. In response to these allegations, Mahua Moitra asserts her readiness to undergo any form of investigation, maintaining that the Adani Group and BJP are conspiring against her.
