Medical professionals are sounding the alarm, urging the local populace to exercise caution. The rapid spread of mosquito-borne dengue in Hariharpara has ignited fear in the region, with the Hariharpara block primary health center recording five dengue cases in the past week.
According to hospital sources, Sahebnagar village in the Choya village panchayat of Hariharpara block has witnessed a higher incidence of dengue cases, coinciding with the approach of the much-awaited Bengali festival, Durga Puja. As the festival draws near, villagers are increasingly concerned about the rising dengue cases, with most patients reporting high fever and body pain.
Experts are advising residents to prevent stagnant water accumulation in and around their homes to mitigate the spread of dengue.
