Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
Demonstrations against Bankura BJP MP and Union Minister of State for Education, Dr. Subhash Sarkar, have resurfaced in his hometown. In Chhatna, a group of BJP workers expressed their discontent by burning ink pots and tires on a photo of the MP after departing from the district headquarters Gangajalghanti.
On Saturday morning, members of BJP Ekta Manch, comprising workers and officials, congregated at the Chhatna Bypass intersection, chanting slogans calling for Subhash Sarkar's departure. Several BJP leaders, including Dr. Shyamsundar Mandal, Ashok Bid, Anup Ghoshal, Sheikh Siraj, Devidas Chakraborty, Uttam Chand, and Uttam Mandal, participated in this event.
During the protest, former BJP Mandal President Ashok Bid stated that although they had worked tirelessly to ensure Dr. Subhash Sarkar's victory in 2019, he has since altered his stance. He appears to disregard party workers and surrounds himself with individuals who flatter him. Those who voice opposition are entangled in false cases. If this pattern persists, it could be detrimental to the party.
