Union Cabinet approves 'One Nation, One Election' Bill: Reports
Trinamool Congress staged a protest campaign near Raj Bhawan on Thursday afternoon, demanding money for 100 days' work. The demonstration began with a placard at the Raj Bhawan gate, followed by the setup of a protest stage. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, criticized the campaign, calling it 'cheap politics' and expressing concerns about the security of the Governor.
According to Adhikari, Section 144 should be enforced within a 150-meter radius outside Raj Bhavan , raising questions about how Trinamool was able to conduct the protest.Meanwhile he also posted on his X handle,' With the help of the police, TMC not only marched in the area where Section 144 was in effect but also set up a camp there'.
He asserted that the security of the constitutional head of the state was at risk, with police assistance enabling the demonstration. Notably, the term 'Zamidari' has gained prominence in the state's politics, used by both Trinamool and the Governor. Suvendu Adhikari further questioned the ruling camp's program, characterizing it as 'landlord' politics.
Regional TMC Party has been consciously dismantling Democracy in WB; one pillar at a time.
