Abhishek sat in front of Raj Bhavan all night, waiting for the Governor. Abhishek Banerjee, who is agitating in West Bengal demanding payment of central funds, sat on a dharna overnight in front of the Raj Bhavan. Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim and other party leaders were also present with him.
The song written by Tagore kept playing throughout the night.Though the Governor is still in Siliguri in North Bengal and has not yet returned to Kolkata, hence the protest is expected to last long.
Abhishek had started the protest late on Thursday evening and had said that his protest is going to continue till the Governor returns.On the other hand, the Governor responded that instead of siege, come home, which means he will not accept this culture. The Governor has said that he is on his soil and is looking into the problems people are facing, due to which he might not return soon.
