India's Medal Tally Reaches 60 as Asian Games Enter Day 10

On Day 10 of the Asian Games 2023, Lovlina Borgohain secured a silver medal by advancing to the women's 75kg boxing final, while Preeti earned a bronze in the women's 54kg category. Indian archers had a historic day, assuring at least three medals in Compound events, with Ojas Pravin and Abhishek Verma setting up an all-Indian final in the Men's Compound Individual event, marking India's first-ever individual gold medal opportunity in archery at the Asian Games.

Additionally, Jyoti Surekha Vennam reached the final of the women's compound individual archery event. India's medal tally touched 60, consisting of 13 golds, 24 silvers, and 24 bronze medals.

The day also witnessed a bronze medal in Canoeing, earned by Arjun Singh and Sunil Singh Salam in the Men's Canoe Double 1000m event. In cricket, the Indian team secured a 23-run victory against Nepal, entering the semi-finals of the men's cricket event.

In kabaddi, the men's team triumphed over Bangladesh with a 55-18 win, while the women's hockey squad dominated with a 13-0 victory over Hong Kong China.
