Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch nine new Vande Bharat trains, expanding railway services on various routes on Sunday. These additions include two services on the South Central Railways (SCR) and two in West Bengal, as well as one in Odisha, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and among others.
Union Railways Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw will also participate in the inauguration program, as stated in an official statement. This initiative aims to enhance the connectivity and travel experience for commuters, particularly during the upcoming festival season.
Among the newly introduced routes, the Kacheguda-Yesvantpur train service between Bengaluru and Hyderabad stands out as the fastest train connecting the two cities, significantly reducing journey time. Additionally, the Vijayawada – MGR Chennai Central route offers an expedited travel experience, becoming the first and fastest train on this route.
Furthermore, the Patna-Howrah and Ranchi-Howrah routes will see improvements with 25 added features, enabling faster journeys and enhancing connectivity.
