"Flight ke saath Air Hostess bhi khareed lunga" says BJP leader after he was deplaned for misbehaving

A passenger was removed from a Kolkata-bound flight at Silchar airport due to unruly behavior. The incident occurred when the passenger, identified as Sujit Das Choudhury, a BJP leader, refused to follow standard protocol by talking on his phone during take-off, as per an Airport Authority of India (AAI) official.

Choudhury not only ignored repeated requests from the cabin crew to switch off his cellphone but also engaged in an altercation with them, allegedly resorting to misbehavior. He reportedly threatened an air hostess, claiming he could buy the flight and her. "At one point he started threatening the air hostess and said he had the ability to buy the flight and her as well," an officer was quoted..

Das Choudhury's fellow passengers got involved in the argument with the cabin crew and joined in, which caused chaos on board when the plane was already in an accelerating mode for takeoff.

The captain eventually intervened and ordered Choudhury to be offloaded for his unruly conduct. Approximately 10 co-passengers who were part of a group also left the plane in protest.

The incident resulted in a 29-minute delay for the Alliance Air flight, originally scheduled to depart for Kolkata from Silchar at 2:20 p.m. It finally took off at 2:49 p.m.
