In a shocking incident of child theft, a brazen abductor struck at Howrah Sadar Hospital in broad daylight. The incident unfolded when a distressed mother brought her 11-month-old son, Mohammad Arhaan, to the hospital for treatment. Struggling with her child's illness, the mother, Sameera Praveen, briefly entrusted her child to another woman seated nearby while she disposed of dirty clothes. In a matter of minutes, the unknown woman fled with the child, leaving Sameera distraught and searching frantically.
Hospital staff and concerned citizens quickly alerted the police, prompting a swift response to the alarming situation. CCTV footage reviewed by the authorities revealed the abductor making her way towards Howrah station with the child. The police immediately informed the Child Help Line on platform number 9 of Howrah station, initiating a coordinated search operation.
Thanks to the joint efforts of the police and Child Help Line personnel, the abducted child was found on the platform, his appearance matching the description provided by the distressed mother. The child was promptly taken to the Child Help Line hospital at Liluah for medical attention and care.
While the child's safe recovery is a relief, the police are diligently pursuing the identity and whereabouts of the abductor.
