The minimum temperature in Kolkata was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while the maximum temperature settled at 30.8 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.
In the last 24 hours, the region received 8.5 mm of rain, and intermittent rainfall is expected today. Other areas affected by continuous rains include Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, and Bankura. In North Bengal, rivers are flowing above the danger mark, leading to flood-like situations and disruptions to normal life. The forecast indicates even heavier rainfall for the coming week.
