Assistant Superintendent of Police and SDPO Rishabha Garg said that the woman was walking along this particular street this afternoon when two people on a bike, one wearing a helmet who was driving and the other who was not covering his face, took the woman's jhola (not a bag or purse) in fractions of a second, where the cash was said to be a little over one lakh, and fled.
The woman was to withdraw cash from the local PNB Daltonganj branch.
Police officer Garg said that it is very likely that this woman was chased by thieves straight from the bank and here on this road, the miscreants robbed her of cash.
