Shootout in BidhanNagar Police Commissionerate area; Several rounds fired, one dead

Another tragic incident of violence unfolded on Thursday evening in the Bidhan Nagar police commissionerate area, as a group of miscreants on bikes carried out a shoot-out. The target was identified as Debojyoti Ghosh, a convicted accused, who lost his life in the hail of bullets.

Eyewitnesses reported that multiple bikers arrived at the scene, firing several rounds of bullets in front of the Narayanpur fire station. Among their victims was Debojyoti Ghosh, who was in a car at the time of the attack. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby private hospital. However, medical professionals declared him brought dead.

Debojyoti Ghosh, the deceased, had been released on parole and was returning home after attending the Narayanpur police station, where he had to report daily as per the rules. 

Senior officers from the Bidhan Nagar Police Commissionerate promptly reached the scene to investigate the incident. The car used by Debojyoti Ghosh during the attack was found to have a bullet lodged inside it, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.

As the authorities delve into the motive behind this violent attack, residents in the area are left in shock and fear following yet another disturbing incident in the region. Police officials are working diligently to bring those responsible to justice and ensure the safety of the community.
