SC halts mosque survey orders, restricts lower courts in pending cases
A POCSO court in Dhanbad on Monday awarded three years to life imprisonment, accused of raping a minor, in a four-year-old case.
Providing this information, APP Md Jabbar Hussain said that the court of Special Judge Prabhakar Singh, while passing sentence, imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on them in addition to life imprisonment.
The court found the trio guilty on Saturday and announced the amount of the punishment in the case today.
According to the FIR filed at Chirkunda police station in the district on 18 March 2019, all three accused kidnapped the girl victim on the night (10:00 pm) of 13 March 2019 when she was returning to her house in Kumardhubi after a visit. wedding ceremony.
All the three accused raped her near the Hanuman temple. She was later found unconscious.
They were charged by the police on 31 March 2019 and charged by the court on 3 August 2019.
APP said a total of five witnesses were cross-examined during the trial.
