WB Panchayat Election Violence: Children mistake bombs for balls, seriously injured in Murshidabad

Even after the Panchayat elections in West Bengal, incidents of violence and bomb blasts cannot be said to stop. Another bomb blast took place in Murshidabad on Saturday. In the Salar police station area of Murshidabad, children started playing with bombs and mistook them for balls. At the same time, there was an explosion and two children were seriously injured in the bomb blast.

The incident took place at Babla Paschimpada village in Kagram gram panchayat under Salar police station in Murshidabad. Two injured children were admitted to Salar Block Primary Health Centre.

It is known that in the morning the two children were playing in the neighboring garden when their eyes fell on a ball-like object, and as soon as they picked up the ball, the whole area shook with a loud sound.

When the villagers heard the sound of the bomb blast, they ran towards the garden and saw two children on the spot who were bleeding. They immediately picked up the children and were admitted to a local hospital in the same condition.

Children injured in the bomb blast are being treated in hospital. This is not the first time that an explosion has occurred in Murshidabad while playing with a bomb mistaken for a ball. In this regard, the number of deaths of children injured in bomb blasts has also decreased.

Meanwhile, the violence in Bengal continues. Three people have been killed in South 24 Parganas since last night. On the other hand, the sensation spread due to the recovery of bombs from four different places in Reji Nagar of Murshidabad. The bombs were found in Ekdla Madhupur, Nazirpur, Janpur, and Chetiani Ghoshpada areas under the Rejinagar police station.

These fresh bombs were found in some jars and some in sacks. When the local people saw these bombs in different areas, they informed the police from Reji Nagar police station and the police came and surrounded the place.

The CID informed the bomb disposal unit to defuse the bombs. After the vote, people in the area are in a state of panic due to the discovery of bombs at four locations in the police station area. People suspect that the bombs were planted after the election to spread violence.
