The Supreme Court ordered the Jharkhand government to immediately release ED witness Mungeri Yadav from jail.
The court ordered them to inform the Supreme Court after releasing him from jail by 5 pm today.
In this, Mungeri Yadav was arrested on 29 July 2022 in an Arms Act case registered at Rajmahal Police Station. Sahibganj Police did this near Ranchi Airport.
In addition, police action was taken on 11 March 2022 in an FIR against a person named Ranjit Chowdhary.
It said that on March 10, there was a firing on an open cargo ferry from Samdaghat to Manihari near Rampur. Chowdhary made 18 names and 20-25 unknown accused, including Mungeri Yadav.
On 12 August 2022, CCA was imposed against ED witness and famous stone dealer Sahibganj Mungeri Yadav. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Prisons, and Disaster has approved the proposal sent by the district administration in this regard.
On 8 August 2022 itself, a proposal to impose CCA against Mungeri Yadav was sent by Deputy Commissioner Ramniwas Yadav to the Ministry of Home Affairs, and on 12 August the Ministry approved it.
