Police passed notices at the residence of people who tried to grab the land of former Supreme Court judge MY Iqbal in Jharkhand's capital.

Lower Bazar police station officer Dayanand Kumar confirmed the development and said in a notification that the accused were told that their properties would be attached if they did not appear in court.

A division bench comprising Justice S Chandrashekhar and Justice Ratnakar Bhangra sought answers from the Ranchi SSP and the Home Department. The court set a date of July 18 for hearing the case.
Havaldar Zainul Ansari, who was deputed to maintain the plot at Dolní Bazar police station, registered an FIR in this matter.
The FIR said that on Sunday morning suddenly Junaid Raj Pappu brought 20-25 unknown people and laborers with him and started demolishing the wall built on the property of the late judge. These people broke the wall from the front. Meanwhile, the officials of Dolní Bazar police station reached the spot and after that, all the people ran away from the spot. Only the workers were there.
