Shahid Kapoor has opened up about the leaked images of him and his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, which emerged in the media back in 2004, expressing how the incident had a devastating effect on him.
The leaked photos caused a breach of his privacy, leaving him feeling helpless and distraught. Shahid and Kareena had dated for a few years during the early 2000s and even starred together in several films. However, they parted ways in 2006, with Kareena later marrying Saif Ali Khan and Shahid having an arranged marriage with Mira Rajput.
Reflecting on the leaked images, Shahid revealed his vulnerability during that time. As a 24-year-old, he felt that his privacy had been violated, leaving him in a state of confusion and emotional turmoil. The leak deeply impacted him, especially given his young age and the complexities of navigating a relationship in the public eye as actors.
During the interview, the topic of the leaked video from the nightclub was discussed, with Shahid and the interviewer recalling the incident. It was revealed that three individuals had approached the interviewer's office with the clip and were paid ₹500 for it. Shahid laughed with the interviewer, acknowledging the situation and the role of media in such events.
Shahid also highlighted how the dynamics have changed since then. With the passage of time and his own marriage and children, he noted that people's interest in his personal life has diminished. He recognized that the focus has shifted to the younger generation of actors, allowing him some respite from the past.
Shahid Kapoor was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video series "Farzi" and the film "Bloody Daddy" on Jio Cinema.
