She had been battling age-related ailments and breathed her last surrounded by her loved ones. This unfortunate event comes three years after the demise of Mithun Chakraborty's father, Basant Kumar Chakraborty, who succumbed to kidney failure in April 2020 at the age of 95.
Shantirani Chakraborty had been residing in Mumbai with her son Mithun Chakraborty at the time of her passing.
