Tragic accident on Mumbai-Agra highway kills 15 as truck collides with hotel

In a devastating incident near Palasner village on the Dhule-Mumbai-Agra highway, a truck collision has resulted in the loss of at least 15 lives, leaving numerous others injured.

The accident occurred when a truck failed to brake, colliding with two vehicles before crashing into a hotel in Dhule.

The mishap took place around noon, more than 300 kilometers away from the state capital, according to a police official at the scene. The truck, which was entering Maharashtra from Madhya Pradesh, experienced a brake failure, leading to the catastrophic collision with the hotel.

Tragically, the collision caused the hotel structure to collapse, resulting in the crushing deaths of 15 individuals. Additionally, approximately 15 to 20 people sustained injuries in the incident. The authorities fear that the death toll may rise as the situation unfolds.

Promptly after the accident, the injured victims were rushed to a local hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment. Meanwhile, law enforcement officials have arrived at the scene to investigate the incident further.

The tragedy unfolded near the Madhya Pradesh border in Shirpur taluka of the Dhule district. Witnesses reported that the dumper truck, which was traveling towards Mumbai, experienced brake failure, leading to a series of collisions with motorcycles and cars along the roadside. Eventually, the truck crashed into a bus stop, compounding the severity of the accident.
