Vidya Balan, known for her versatility and sense of humor, recently attempted a prank on the sets of the film Neeyat but was caught in the act by a visitor. Shahana Goswami, Vidya's co-star in the movie, revealed the incident.
According to Shahana, Vidya had planned to convince her friend, who was visiting the sets, that she did not know English. They initiated a conversation in English, with Vidya responding only in Hindi. However, the prank did not go as expected, and the visitor quickly caught on to the ruse.
Vidya eventually confessed that she knew English, and her friend playfully revealed that they had been aware of the prank all along. Shahana shared that the atmosphere on the Neeyat sets was filled with fun and laughter, and Vidya was often the instigator of pranks.
She also recalled their time shooting in Scotland, mentioning that the cold weather required them to wrap themselves in blankets when not filming, as their costumes were insufficient to beat the chilly temperatures.
Alongside Neeyat, where she plays an unlikely detective investigating a murder at a billionaire's party, Vidya will also be seen in the romantic comedy Lovers, alongside Pratik Gandhi. Directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, the film also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
Neeyat, a suspense-thriller directed by Anu Menon and produced by Abundantia Entertainment, is slated for release in theaters on July 7.
