The Enforcement Directorate (ED) expressed dissatisfaction with the response given by Sayoni Ghosh, the Trinamool Congress youth wing president, in relation to a teacher appointment corruption case.
Ghosh appeared at the ED office on Friday morning and was questioned for approximately 11 hours. However, ED sources claim that Ghosh provided evasive answers, attempting to mislead the investigators.
As a result, Sayoni Ghosh has been summoned to appear at the ED office once again on July 5. During the investigation into the property documents of Trinamool leaders Kuntal Ghosh and Ayyan Seal, who were arrested in connection with the corruption case, information regarding Sayoni Ghosh was discovered. Allegations suggest that suspicious transactions have taken place in Ghosh's bank account.
Sayoni Ghosh has reportedly informed those close to her that she will comply whenever called for questioning by central agencies.
