Ameesha Patel, the popular actress and one of the lead actors in the upcoming film Gadar 2, has found herself in hot water with fans after posting what they perceive as a major spoiler on Instagram.
The actress, who portrays the character Sakina in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, shared a still from the recently released teaser, causing fans to express their discontent.
In the still, Sunny Deol's iconic character, Tara Singh, is depicted mourning and praying in front of a grave, leading fans to speculate about the fate of Sakina. With mounting anticipation surrounding Gadar 2, viewers were quick to jump to conclusions, suggesting that Sakina might have met an untimely demise in a cross-border altercation, as implied by the teaser.
To address the concerns of her fans, Ameesha Patel took to Twitter and attempted to clarify the situation, stating, "Hey all my lovely fans!! Too many of u have been concerned n worried about this shot from GADAR 2 thinking it is SAKINA who is dead!!! well, it’s not!! Who it is I can’y say but it is NOT SAKINA! So pls don’t worry!! Love u all."
Despite Ameesha's intentions to assuage their fears, fans were left unsatisfied by her response. Many expressed their disappointment and accused the actress of spoiling a crucial aspect of the film, which is scheduled for release on August 11. Some fans even demanded further details about the story, while others believed that Ameesha's clarification may have been an attempt to mislead them.
The controversy surrounding the alleged spoiler intensified when the video of the song "Udd Jaa Kale Kaava," a revamped version of the iconic track from the original Gadar, was released.
Observant fans noted that Ameesha's character appeared to have purple eyes during a romantic scene with Tara Singh. This observation further fueled speculation about Sakina's fate, as the original character did not possess such distinctive features.
