Suicide attempt at Chandni Chowk metro station disrupts service
In anticipation of the surge in passenger traffic during the Bakrid festivities, Indian Railways has announced the operation of a special train.
The Eastern Railway will run an Eid Special train between Howrah and Raxaul to accommodate the increased number of passengers during the Feast of Sacrifice, according to an official statement by Eastern Railways.
The special train, numbered 03021 Howrah - Raxaul Eid Special, is scheduled to depart from Howrah at 11:00 pm on June 27, 2023. It will arrive at Raxaul at 2:15 pm the following day. In the return direction, the train with the number 03022 Raxaul - Howrah Eid Special will depart from Raxaul at 4:55 pm on June 28, 2023, and reach Howrah at 08:50 am the next day.
Passengers should note that the Eid Special train will make stops at Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, and Jasidih stations, all falling within the jurisdiction of Eastern Railway, in both directions.
The accommodations available on the special train include second-class general, sleeper class, and air-conditioned coaches. Bookings for the 03021 Howrah - Raxaul Eid Special will open on June 24, 2023, through the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) and online platforms.
Passengers should be aware that a special charge, in addition to the normal fare, will be applicable. However, concessional bookings and the Tatkal quota will not be available for this special train.
