The life of the common man has become dear and precious. In fact, two brothers had to pay the price of their lives for plucking mangoes from trees in Pakur district.
There was such a dispute between two groups over the plucking of mangoes that people armed with sticks and sharp weapons immediately attacked the two brothers who were plucking mangoes from the tree. Both brothers were killed in an attack with sticks and axes.
The case is related to Ganeshpur village in Maheshpur police station area. Villagers Devidhan Murmu, 30, and his elder brother Murmu, 40, a lawyer, plucked mangoes from their tree. Meanwhile, other relatives of the two brothers arrived there and started refusing to pluck the mangoes from the tree.
Meanwhile, there was a dispute between the two parties to stop the plucking of mangoes from the tree. A dispute that started with abuse turned into a fight. People from the other side attacked with sticks and axes and killed both the brothers, Advocate Murma and Devidhan Murma.
According to the people of Ganeshpur village, both the deceased youths had a dispute with Aapne Gotiya (another relative settled in the village) over the land on which there is a mango tree and the right to the mango tree.
This was often disputed between the two groups. However, the dispute would escalate to such an extent that even the villagers did not think that it would lead to murder.
