A major security breach occurred when Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was nearly struck by a biker while taking his morning walk today at Anne Marg in Patna.
The biker, who entered the security perimeter, has been detained by the Patna police. Chief Minister Kumar had to quickly jump onto the pedestrian path to ensure his safety.
Security personnel, including Special Security Group (SSG) commandos and Patna police, swiftly apprehended the biker, who is now undergoing intense questioning.
The Chief Minister's office has summoned SSG commandant Hari Mohan Shukla and Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra for clarification regarding the incident. Authorities are analyzing CCTV footage from the area to investigate any prior suspicious activities involving the biker.
It is noteworthy that Nitish Kumar has been provided Z-plus security since 2018, with SSG commandos forming the closest circle of protection, similar to the SPG commandos assigned to prime ministers. The Bihar military police and local police also contribute to the Chief Minister's security detail.
