SC halts mosque survey orders, restricts lower courts in pending cases
The Meteorological Department has today forecast intermittent rains throughout the day on Wednesday in various parts of the state including Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.
The department's regional headquarters at Alipore said capital Kolkata recorded a minimum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
According to the department, the maximum temperature has been recorded at 37.7 degrees Celsius, three degrees Celsius more than normal. Intermittent rains will continue throughout the state including Howrah Hooghly North and South 24 Parganas East and West Medinipur Purulia Bankura throughout the day.
Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling and Kalimpong in North Bengal are also receiving intermittent rains which are going to continue throughout this week.
The Meteorological Department has already clarified that pre-monsoon rains have started across the state, which is now going to continue.
