As the third day of nominations for the panchayat elections arrives, candidates are expected to gather at the Rajarhat Block Development Office (BDO) to submit their nominations.
Specifically, candidates from Jangra Hatiara 2 Gram Panchayat, Rajarhat Bishnupur No. 1 and No. 2 Gram Panchayat, Chandpur Gram Panchayat, Patharghata Gram Panchayat, and Jarharhat Panchayat Samiti will be submitting their nominations.
To ensure a smooth process and maintain security, the police have implemented strict measures at the Rajarhat BDO office since Monday morning.
Access to the office premises is restricted to individuals with proper identity cards, and only one proposer is permitted to accompany each candidate.
Additionally, enhanced security arrangements, including the imposition of Section 144 within a one-kilometer radius of the Rajarhat video office, have been put in place to prevent any potential disruptions.
