Former Chief Secretary Rajiv Sinha approved as new Election Commissioner by Governor

After a prolonged period of deliberation and amidst growing anticipation, Rajiv Sinha, the former Chief Secretary of the state, has been appointed as the new Election Commissioner. Sources reveal that the governor has finally given his approval to the appointment, following careful consideration. The official file containing the decision has been sent from Raj Bhavan to Nabanna, the administrative headquarters of the state government.

The position of Election Commissioner had been vacant since the recent expiration of Saurabh Das' term.
