SC halts mosque survey orders, restricts lower courts in pending cases

According to the Meteorological Department, Kolkata experienced a minimum temperature of 28.9 degrees Celsius, exceeding the normal by one degree. The maximum temperature soared to 37.4 degrees Celsius, surpassing the normal by four degrees. The scorching sun will keep the temperatures between 30 and 39 degrees Celsius throughout the day, intensifying the heat.
Areas such as Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura, and other parts of the state are also witnessing a similar surge in temperatures. This prevailing weather pattern is expected to persist until Saturday.
