A horrifying incident unfolded in Sitamarhi, Bihar, where a hotel owner's five-year-old daughter and employees tragically lost their lives in a fire allegedly started by unidentified individuals.
According to reports, the hotel was occupied by sleeping staff members and the owner's daughter, who was found unconscious near the premises. The incident occurred on Wednesday at midnight on the four-lane Bariarpur, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagar police station.
Media sources indicate that around 1:30 a.m., two masked individuals knocked on the hotel door, inquiring about the owner's whereabouts through his eldest daughter who answered. When informed that the owner was not present, the men departed, searching for him.
Fearful of the situation, the hotel owner's wife, Kiran Devi, sought refuge with her two sons while sleeping inside. After approximately half an hour, a devastating fire engulfed the hotel, resulting in the tragic deaths of the younger daughter and sleeping staff members in the rear of the building.
The flames further spread to seven nearby shops when gas cylinders began to explode. Authorities were informed of the incident at 5 a.m. when concerned neighbors reported the fire.
Police arrived at the scene around 7 a.m. to initiate an investigation. At the time, the hotel owner, Baiju Sah, was missing, leading to assumptions of his demise. However, he was later discovered unconscious in a nearby field.
The hotel owner's five-year-old daughter, identified as Adda, tragically perished in the fire. Baiju Shah, a resident of Minapur Balha village who had been residing in Sitamarhi for the past year, faced this heart-wrenching loss.
