Delhi murder: Killed minor under influence of alcohol, claims Sahil to police

Sahil, the 20-year-old man accused of killing a minor girl in Delhi on Monday, committed the offense under the influence of alcohol, police said. The police further explained that the crime was committed due to the feelings of jealousy the accused had for the girl ignoring him.

The girl reportedly ignored Sahil as she resumed relations with her ex-boyfriend Praveen.

The boy killed the girl by stabbing her more than a dozen times in the stomach and then smashing her face with a board. The incident took place in Shahbad Dairy area of ​​Delhi. Although quite a few people were present in the area at the time of the crime, none of them tried to stop the boy and save the girl.

During police interrogation, Sahil revealed that he had consumed a lot of alcohol before committing the crime. After murdering the girl, he threw away the mobile phone in an isolated place and discarded the SIM card in another place.

However, the police found the mobile phone and are looking for the SIM card.

The defendant also disclosed the reasons for the religious items he was wearing. He revealed that the black thread he had tied on his hand was on the advice of a holy man. On the 'Rudraksh' around his neck, Sahil revealed that he had recently visited Haridwar and got it from there.

Police are still searching for the murder weapon. They took Sahil into custody after telling the court they needed him to retrieve the murder weapon.

Meanwhile, a new angle has been added to the whole affair with the entry of a new name, Jabul. Sahil also revealed this name. Sahil reportedly told investigators that the minor had an affair with Jabul. He warned him to stay away from the girl. Fearing that Jabul might kill him, Sahil decided to kill the minor. He also said he believes the minor tried to cut ties with him because of Jabul.

In the initial investigation, it was said that Sahil killed the minor because she was talking to her ex-boyfriend Praveen. But Jabul's entry into the case gave a whole new angle to the whole story.Police are currently investigating the case and have also spoken to Sahil's friends and checked his social media handles for any clues in the case.
