Northeast India gets its first Vande Bharat Express on Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri route

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express, marking a significant milestone for the Northeast region.

Through a video conference, he flagged off the semi high-speed train, which will now connect Guwahati in Assam to New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal in just five hours and 30 minutes.

This development will enhance connectivity and provide a faster transportation option for passengers in the region.
