Shahid Kapoor's performance in his latest OTT outing Farzi won hearts and was appreciated. Now exploring the digital space, he is all set for another OTT Bloody Daddy release.
The action thriller will release on Jio Cinema on June 9, 2023 and ahead of the film's release, there are speculations that the actor has charged a huge amount for the film.
Rumor has it that after the success of the Farzi series, Kapoor charged Rs 40 crore for Bloody Daddy. At the trailer launch of the film, he was asked if he was really charging such an amount. Kapoor was shocked to hear the amount and jokingly asked the scribe to give him this amount of money and he would make this film.
Bloody Daddy director Ali Abbas Zafar also laughed and said, "You said less." Kapoor also asked people not to guess the numbers and dynamics of statistics and discussed Bloody Daddy. He stated that he wanted to star in an all-out action film, but was waiting for the right one to come his way. He also added that he realized this was the project for him when Ali approached him. It's high-octane, action-packed, suspenseful and dramatic, and has been designed with the digital audience in mind.
Bloody Daddy is written by Aditya Basu and Siddharth-Garima and produced by Jio Studios. Along with Kapoor, the film also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia and Vivan Bhatena. It is a remake of the 2011 French film Sleepless Night, dubbed Thoongaa Vanam in Tamil and starring Kamal Haasan.
