Mercury to drop 3 degrees in Bengal in next 2 days, says MeT
A devastating fire erupted in an ice cream factory located on Agrasain Street in Liluah at around 10:30 am today, sending thick plumes of smoke billowing into the sky. The highly flammable nature of the materials inside the factory fueled the flames, causing the fire to quickly spread and consume the entire facility.
In a swift response to the emergency, four fire engines rushed to the scene and launched a relentless battle against the inferno. After an intense effort lasting one and a half hours, the courageous firefighters managed to bring the flames under control, preventing the fire from further escalating and causing more destruction.
Preliminary investigations by the fire department suggest that the fire may have originated from a short circuit. However, a thorough examination is still underway to ascertain the exact cause and determine the extent of the damage inflicted on the factory and its contents.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far, offering a glimmer of relief amid the chaos.
