Supporters gathered near the Salt Lake Karunamoyee bus stand, with a heavy police presence deployed by the Vidhannagar Police. Led by Rahul Sinha and Sajal Ghosh, the procession encountered barricades on the way to Vikas Bhawan, resulting in a confrontation between the BJP workers and the police.
Subsequently, an effigy of the Chief Minister was burnt while raising slogans on behalf of the BJP teachers' cell.
