Missing child from Kalighat Temple rescued with towel wrapped around mouth near Andul bus stand

In a remarkable turn of events, a child who had been reported missing from the renowned Kalighat temple was discovered safe and sound near the Andul bus stand, under the jurisdiction of Sankrail police station. The child, identified as Ayush Saav, was found with a towel wrapped around his mouth but was later rescued by the police.

Eyewitnesses in the area reported seeing the child crying near a private bank situated at Andul bus stand at approximately 7:30 pm. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, they promptly alerted the Sankrail police station. Acting swiftly, the police took custody of the child and admitted him to a nearby nursing home to assess his physical well-being.

The circulation of the child's photograph on various social media platforms played a crucial role in locating his parents. Thanks to the extensive reach of social media, the parents, who reside in Naktala, were identified and subsequently notified. Sankrail MLA Priya Pal confirmed the positive outcome, stating, "We were able to trace the child's home in Naktala after the viral spread of his picture on social media. The parents have been duly informed."

Early this morning, the parents of Ayush Saav arrived at the Sankrail police station, where necessary legal procedures were carried out. Finally, the heartwarming moment arrived as the child was joyfully reunited with his mother. The Calcutta police's swift and diligent efforts, combined with the cooperation of the public, ensured a safe and timely reunion for the family.

While it was initially suspected that the child had been stolen, the exact circumstances that led to his abandonment near the Andul bus stand remain unclear. It appears that news of the police's active pursuit and the increasing attention on the case through various media channels may have dissuaded the kidnappers, resulting in the child's safe release.

Following the appropriate legal protocols, the child was officially handed over to his relieved parents. The incident has caused a stir in the vicinity of the bus stand, as the local community witnessed the events unfold.
