A private hospital in Bairagachia of Jagatballabpur was heavily vandalized by the family of a patient who died during surgery.
The patient, Pratima Panja, was undergoing tumor surgery when she passed away, and her family members immediately gathered at the nursing home and ransacked the premises. The hospital's belongings were thrown into the sink, causing significant damage.
The Jagatballabpur police station intervened at night, but tensions rose again in the morning, with the patient's relatives attacking the nursing home once more and blocking the Howrah Amata Road in protest.
