Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
During the tenth day of Trinamool's Jan Jwar Yatra campaign in Malda, West Bengal, General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee fiercely criticized congress and central government.
He accused Congress leader Adhir Ranjan of supporting the BJP in Bengal, claiming that Ranjan has never raised the issue of Bengal's dues in Delhi. Banerjee alleged that the state government is running schemes and central conspiracies, highlighting the state's expenditure of 37 thousand crores in Lakhi Bhandar, 10 paise of which is not from the Centre.
Additionally, he claimed that 3.5 thousand crores were spent in the Rastashree scheme, with the aim of ensuring that even 10 paise of new roads were not supported by the Centre.
Banerjee also accused the BJP of blocking the development of Bengal, despite being voted for development. He pointed out that Trinamool had 34 MPs from 2014-2019, which is why PM Modi could not stop the money of Bengal. In 2019, Trinamool had 22 MPs, BJP had 18, and Congress had two, which is why the money of Bengal was withheld. According to Banerjee, two Congress MPs are also with the BJP through the back door.
Furthermore, Banerjee criticized Adhir Ranjan's trust in Amit Shah's CRPF, rather than Mamata's police. He alleged that Amit Shah wants to implement NRC in Bengal and is impatient with Ranjan. Banerjee claimed that Adhir-Shah is one from the lower table, and challenged him to show that he held a meeting in Delhi for the money of Bengal even once in 10 years. Banerjee declared that Trinamool fights for the interests of the people, and they will continue to do so.
Finally, Banerjee revealed that he had left his home for 60 days, leaving on April 24, to join Trinamool's Jan Jwar Yatra campaign. He has been on the road for 10 days, traveling 1100 kilometers, and has left his parents, wife, and children to live with the public. Banerjee's comments reflect the intense political atmosphere in West Bengal ahead of the state assembly elections.
