Two individuals, including a woman, have been arrested by the police in connection with the shooting death of Anwar Ali, also known as Bula, in Titagarh on Friday.
The police have revealed that the murder took place during a financial transaction, following which they arrested the accused's wife, Mohammad Arif, Mohammad Sani, and Shabnam Banu Sani, from Burdwan. Although the police have recovered the scooter used in the murder, they have yet to locate the weapon used.
The accused have been placed in 14-day police custody. Barrackpore Police Commissionerate DC Central Ashish Maurya confirmed the arrests.
