West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has urged people to vote in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, despite the imminent panchayat elections in the state. Speaking on the occasion of Eid, Banerjee emphasized the importance of democracy and urged people to fight unitedly against attempts to divide the country.
During her speech before Eid Namaz, Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the BJP and demanded that the party be ousted from the Centre. She accused the BJP of wanting to change the constitution and history, and of attempting to divide the country. Banerjee also claimed that the Trinamool government in the state is fighting against the BJP and central agencies, but emphasized that she is not afraid to fight.
