Relief expected with scattered rains predicted in Bengal from Saturday

The city of Kolkata, are enduring a miserable condition due to the scorching heatwave. On Friday, the capital city of Kolkata recorded a maximum temperature of 40.7 degrees Celsius, which was five notches above normal.

The minimum temperature was 29.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal. However, relief is on the way, as the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in some parts of Bengal on Friday.

The possibility of light rain due to cloudy skies in Kolkata in the morning brought some respite to the people from the scorching heat. The forecast suggests that scattered rains are expected to occur throughout the day in South Bengal from Saturday, providing much-needed relief to the people from the heat.

The heatwave has caused significant discomfort to the people, with many taking measures to keep themselves hydrated and cool. The situation is expected to improve with the onset of rain, which will bring down the temperature and provide relief to the people.
