Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one of those actresses who have made a prominent name for herself in both the Bollywood and Hollywood film industries. From raising eyebrows for her role in 2008's Fashion to gearing up for Hollywood spy series Citadel, the 40-year-old actress continues to spread her charm.
In the interview, Chopra opened up about how she managed to become a global star while others are still struggling to find that space. She said she is often questioned as to why other people haven't done it or why other actors from India haven't broken the way she has. She stated that she didn't know the answer, but all she knew was that the only thing she could have contributed to this was not carrying her luggage.

In an interview, Chopra opened up about how she managed to become a global star while others are still struggling to find that space.
She said that she is often questioned as to why haven’t other people done it or why haven’t other actors from India broken the way she has. She stated that she does not know the answer, but all she knows is that the one thing she did, which may have contributed to it, was that she did not carry her baggage.
The Desi Girl said, “I come from India and I’m a big star here, and I have an entourage of 20 people. I don’t do that (there). I will give an audition. I have no qualms about walking into the room and showing people my work. I’m not afraid of the work. I don’t carry my ego or my pride.” The actress stated that it took her eight years to build her credibility which included doing smaller roles and movies and then finally she got the opportunity to work with big names like The Matrix creators Lana and Lilly Wachowski and Avengers: Infinity War producers Joe and Anthony Russo.
She continued by saying that she is not afraid of working hard and persevering. She believes that when one finally gets there and when one watches their work then it’s like “I did it again”.
On the work front, Chopra will next be seen in Citadel which is produced by AGBO and Amazon Studios and is slated to premiere on Prime Video globally on April 28, 2023. She will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
