Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched an investigation into the teacher recruitment scam case, which has allegedly involved a large number of people. As part of the investigation, government documents are being scrutinized to gather evidence against the accused.
However, on Tuesday morning, it was discovered that some documents had been burnt in a field in the Andul Garia area of Bhangarh in South 24 Parganas. Local reports suggest that the documents were left in the field during the night, and a fire was started in the area. It is not yet clear what the documents contained or why they were set on fire.
CBI officials have arrived on the scene to retrieve any remaining ashes and investigate the matter further. The documents that were burnt are believed to be government documents, and many half-burnt documents have been recovered by the officials.
In addition, local sources have reported that a recruitment lorry was seen parked in a nearby garden owned by Trinamool leaders Gautam Mandal and Rakesh Roy Chowdhury, who are known to be close to Partha Chatterjee and Canning East MLA Shaukat Mollah.
The discovery of the burnt documents in the area has further heightened concerns over the possible involvement of political leaders in the teacher recruitment scam case.
