The Congress on Thursday hit back at Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for her outburst against Rahul Gandhi and reiterated its charge that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has been giving undue favour to the Adani Group.
Sitharaman had also attacked Rahul Gandhi and said, “If Congress leader Rahul Gandhi thinks Adani has been given all these things, it’s not true.”
Responding to the Union Minister, the Congress party tweeted from its official Twitter handle, “If they weren’t given, were they taken? @nsitharaman”

In the same vein, the party also launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, “If they weren’t given, they must be taken (back). Can you? @narendramodi”
The BJP politician (Sitharaman) had also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s silence on crony capitalism being practiced in Congress-ruled states.
She said, “If any crony capitalism is happening, it is happening in Congress-led governments, and Rahul Gandhi will not speak a word about it.”
Taking a dig at the Congress leader, she reminded Gandhi of the apologies he has had to offer in the past for his comments. She said, “You had to apologise in the Supreme Court over your remarks on the Rafale deal. He gave a written apology on the remark that RSS killed Mahatma Gandhi.”
