Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) in Bihar will now be closed every Tuesday for maintenance works.
The jungle safari, pathway, Kauleshwar Jhula, and Eco Park will remain closed on Tuesdays to carry out necessary upkeep. However, visitors can still visit the temples, including Jatashankar, Nardevi, and Madanpur Devi Sthan, on any day. The decision has been circulated to all government departments and offices by VTR's director-cum-conservator of wildlife, Nesamani K.
The VTR director has also stated that preventive measures are being taken to avoid forest fires as the peak summer season approaches. With the high temperature and westerly winds, forest fires are common in the area. Forest officials and staff have been instructed to remain vigilant to prevent any forest fires from occurring.
