Kolkata metro to be extended till Hooghly's Chuchura? Here's what Railway minister says
The Indian film industry witnessed a major clash of films yesterday. Actor Nani's Dasara South was released in theaters with Ajay Devgn's Bholaa. Both the films are said to be action packed, but the audience seems to have enjoyed Dasara more than Bholaa and the box office collection proves it.
On its opening day, Dasara managed to collect Rs 17 crore in all the languages it was released in, while Bholaa earned Rs 11.20 crore.
Bholaa not only failed to compete with Dasara's box office but also failed to keep up with Devgn's previous blockbuster Drishyam 2 which earned Rs 15.38 crore at the domestic box office on Day 1 and was considered a massive hit.
The film is Nani's best career opening film. His 2022 film Ante Sundaraniki collected Rs 7.3 million on its opening day in Telugu, with dubbed versions in Tamil and Malayalam. Despite positive reviews, the film grossed only Rs 19.97 crore in its lifetime. Jersey (2019), Nani's most popular film in recent years, was only released in Telugu but grossed Rs 6.95 crore and Rs 33.65 crore in its entire duration.
