Mystery shrouds the death of a 30-year-old youth whose body was found in a canal near a four-storey building near Prabhaat Park under Adityapur thana area on Thursday morning.
The body was later identified as that of Sonu Yadav, who was a truck driver and a resident of the Nalanda district in Bihar. Suspecting it to be a case of murder, the police arrested the four truck drivers for questioning after the body was taken to Seraikela Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
The body was found in the drain that passes through an apartment building, Heaven Palace on the third floor of which the four truck drivers would stay in a rented flat. It was gathered that the deceased had come to the flat last night to stay with the four drivers but his body was found in a drain at a place directly below the flat in question.
OC, Adityapur thana and Rajan Kumar said it appears to be a case of suspected murder. "Everything will be clear tonight. We have already arrested four truck drivers along with their trucks,” the OC said, adding that the family members of the deceased have also been informed.
