In the ongoing five-day special drive launched by the Deputy Inspector General of Police in the Saharanpur area, the police have arrested 262 criminals in the last 48 hours.
The arrested were either absconding or wanted for several offences registered against them across the district.
SP (city) Satyanarayan Prajapat said, "All the criminals were produced before the magistrates concerned and were sent to jail," he said.
The drive will continue for the next three days, SHO Mahaveer Singh Chauhan said, adding that the aim is to curb crime in the district.
