Allu Arjun gets interim bail by high court in Pushpa 2 stampede case
According to state agricultural minister Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal is like a god and cannot do anything wrong. He continued by saying that while priests occasionally turn out to be robbers, Gods do not. In his speech to a party gathering in his home area of North 24 Parganas seat Khardah on Sunday, Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay made the statement.
"A temple priest may turn out to be a thief, but God cannot. She (Mamata Banerjee) resembles the temple god of the Trinamool Congress. She is adored and esteemed by us. Not Mamata Banerjee, but even I can commit theft. She gave her life for Bengal in order to elevate this state to its top national status," he added.
"If there are thieves, we will kick them out of the party," he continued.
Priyanka Tibrewal, a leader in the BJP, responded to the Bengal minister's remark by saying, "Such remarks came earlier as well from TMC leaders. Mamata Banerjee is compared to the Goddess. To be accommodating is TMC culture. For a minister or TMC legislator, it is evident. Bengal as a whole can now witness how many scams TMC men are pulling now.
The Chief Minister's silence on this is known to the public. A God who sees such robbery or fraud cannot remain silent. Yet, she has the ability to criticize central agencies and introduce motions criticizing the ED and CBI in state assemblies ".
